Warbirds Blast Over St. Barths During the Bucket Superyacht Regatta

St. Barth’s welcomed a slew of vintage warbirds to the Bucket Regatta. The private collection of bombers and fighters from WWII simulated a low level strafing run and the results were quite impressive. I’ll let the video speak for itself.

The collection of aircraft comes courtesy of the owner of the Andre Hoek-designed 180ft sailboat, Marie. His collection of warbirds once again has been brought from the US and piloted by the Texas Flying Legends combined with a group from Lewis Air Legends in San Antonio. The squadron made the 2,200 mile journey and set up base in St. Maarten.

The warbirds include:

  • A B-25J Mitchell Bomber
  • A TBM Avenger 3E torpedo bomber
  • An FG-1D Corsair
  • P-40K Warhawk
  • An A6-M2 Model 21 Japanese Zero
